BE SUPPORTED AS YOU HEAL
Uncover the root cause of chronic pain & feel like you again
Learn how to heal chronic pain, anxiety, depression, & other symptoms.
Most of the world still operates under the belief that pain only occurs when something is wrong with the body. The leading neuroscience, however, shows that the cause of chronic pain is often due to the mind-body connection. The brain perceives danger and signals the body to express pain as a way to alert you—even when there is nothing wrong with the body.
Pain is a danger signal. It is, by nature, designed to make you unable to focus on anything else. Pain takes the joy out of life. Working and socializing while in pain is awful, and it’s something many of us have had to do our symptoms moved from occassional to chronic.
After years of physical symptoms and one year of debilitating chronic pain, I finally discovered that my pain was neuroplastic (learned by the brain). My central nervous system was perceiving an emotional threat on an unconscious level and learned to respond to that threat by expressing pain in my body.
In the US over 50 million people suffer from chronic pain, and the number continues to grow. It is evident that the allopathic medical model isn’t yet willing to look at the growing body of evidence that shows a true way to heal from our physical suffering.
If you’d like to work with me to heal your chronic pain symptoms, I’d love to invite you into Ease of Being.

Ease of Being
Ease of Being is an 8-week 1:1 offering to support you in understanding the root cause of your pain, guide you through the healing process, and give you the tools to become pain free.
The healing process requires patience and commitment. The time it takes to heal from chronic pain is different for each person’s unique lived experience and relationship to life. In order to benefit from this treatment, after an initial assessment, weekly sessions are required for a minimum of 8 weeks. At the completion of 8 weeks we will evaluate your needs and continue weekly or bi-weekly.
Ease of Being includes one month free access to Divine Passage (for new members), voxer support (for the times you’re in a flare and forget everything you’ve learned), a somatic tracking meditation, and 8 weekly sessions.
After each session you’ll receive homework assignments for you to continue healing on your own. Each of our sessions will be a little different based on where you’re at on your healing and what you’re specifically experiencing. This work is a discovery process. We are uncovering what is going on in relationship to your life, brain, and body as it unfolds.
Please note that these are not Breathwork healing sessions. Sessions are available virtually, from the comfort of your home.

This treatment supports many chronic conditions including, but not limited to:
Tension Headaches
Neck/Shoulder/Back Pain

Ease of Being Initial Introductory Session
To be assessed for neural circuit pain, anxiety, fatigue, or depression, please schedule an introductory session. This is required for all clients regardless of how certain you are that your pain is neuroplastic. The introductory session is a part of the healing protocol. This session lasts for up to 90 minutes to give us enough time to do a thorough intake, provide education on neural circuit disorders, and discuss treatment.
Please note that treatment begins with a commitment to 8 consecutive weekly sessions, 50 minutes each. The current exchange for treatment is one payment of $1400 or $200 per session. That exchange is subject to increase in the future. I advise scheduling your introductory session only if you are financially prepared to invest in treatment.
How It Works
The introductory session includes a process designed by Dr. Howard Schubiner (MD) to concretely assess whether or not your symptoms are neuroplastic. You’ll be asked a series of questions, and I’ll guide you through some exercises that will help diagnose you with a neural circuit disorder. You’ll receive education about neuroplastic pain, how the brain creates these symptoms and why, and why this has specifically happened to you. Then we’ll speak about the healing protocol to bring you into full recovery.
These sessions are up to 90 minutes long and are non-refundable. You will be encouraged to join Ease of Being for 8 weeks once the assessment is complete and I’m certain your symptoms are neuroplastic. It is required you begin weekly sessions to make the necessary progress to heal.
*Please note that this rate is subject to increase in the future.
Neuroplastic Pain
Self-Assessment
It is always best to rule out a structural condition prior to working together. Additionally, neuroplastic pain is a paradigm shift and most physicians will correlate disc degeneration, bone spurs, bulging discs, and inflammation with pain when the pain is actually caused by the brain. As long as the x-rays and MRIs don’t show a tumor, infection, inflammatory condition, or fracture and if the neurological examination is normal to rule out nerve damage. However, please be aware that it’s possible to have both structural pain and neuroplastic pain. If you’d like to do a formal assessment, scroll down to book a session.
This is a list of common indicators that symptoms are due to neuroplastic pain. You may experience a couple of these or most of them.
No injury: The pain appeared out of thin air or the injury healed but the pain persists. Soft tissue injuries typically heal within a few weeks and broken bones within a few months. Pain beyond that timeframe is likely neuroplastic.
Inconsistent: The pain turns on or off or migrates to a different part of the body that is not consistent with structural pain. For example, if you break your arm it’s going to continue to hurt in the same spot until it is healed. Neuroplastic pain can move from your arm to your neck to your back sometimes within a few minutes which means it is likely caused by the brain.
Triggers: Your symptoms switch on or off based on innocuous stimuli like the weather, certain foods, time of day, stress, or scents. The brain can become conditioned to perceive danger in association with specific stimuli triggering your symptoms. Structural pain does not operate this way.
Multiple symptoms: You have several symptoms at once, especially ones that are difficult to explain. You have symptoms that swap out. One day you have digestion issues and when that goes away you get headaches.
Delayed onset: You experience pain after a delayed period of time post activity. For example, your back begins to hurt the day after you go on a long hike but not during the hike.
Pain emerged during stressful time: If your symptoms first emerged when you were getting married, going through a breakup, lost a job, moved, or some other stressful event it can onset neuroplastic pain as the brain is more likely to be on high alert.
Personality traits: People who embodying the follow personality traits are more likely to experience neuroplastic pain because these ways of thinking lead to us feeling unsafe, repeatedly putting the brain on high alert.
Perfectionist
People-pleaser
Anxious/Worrier
Controlling
Self-critical/Low self-esteem
Adverse childhood: Children who grow up in abusive and challenging life circumstances have brains that are primed for neuroplastic pain when a triggering event occurs later in life.
Highly Sensitive: People who are highly sensitive have brains that are predisposed to neuroplastic pain because the brain can easily be wired for danger.

My Story
This is is a long form video where I share how my discomfort turned into chronic pain.
Love for Ease of Being
Healed Social Anxiety & Emotional Pain
“Recently, I completed Michelle’s new course, Ease of Being, which ended up being the most unexpected and extraordinary journey of profound emotional, psychological, and physiological healing. When I enrolled, I remember feeling called to the course because, even though I have had little physical pain throughout my life, I had suffered from longterm, unhelpful, psychological patterns/perceptions which drove a lot of emotional pain, despite years of therapeutic work, meditation, mindfulness training etc..
The sudden shift I experienced happened within the first few weeks of Ease of Being, and I believe it was due to both the qualities Michelle has developed and emanates as a healer/teacher, including: a compassionate steadfastness that enables her to hold space like no other; a wise and deep clarity; bright intuition; and a capacity to hold others in true loving acceptance. And also the content and structure of the course itself, which I found to be so unexpectedly easy to follow and implement in my daily life. Easy yet profound!
From my own experience, I highly recommend Michelle’s course, Ease of Being, to anyone who feels at all called to work with their cycles of pain.”

Healed Neck & Knee Pain
“Ease of Being has changed my life in so many ways. Years ago, x-rays showed that a bone spur was pressing on a nerve root at C-5/C6 level in my neck. My question to my surgeon was an obvious one, "How can we ease or eliminate this debilitating pain that is making everyday activities almost impossible?” The options given to me were either a Cortizone injection with x-ray guided needle every three months or surgery to remove the bone spur which meant an incision in the front of my neck which, for me, would be my absolute last resort.
I couldn't turn my head left to right to simply drive a vehicle. I also couldn’t enjoy reading a book because it required looking down which caused my neck to flare up. I had experienced tingling down my right arm and numbness in my fingers when the neck pain was present. The pain, at times, was so debilitating that I had to lay down for hours with ice packs and this is when I’d go for injections.
After joining Ease of Being, I decided to put my next scheduled Cortizone injection on hold. The techniques Michelle taught me completely (no exaggeration here) not only relaxed my anxiety, it eliminated the neck pain entirely! I recently have been applying these techniques to pain associated with my knee replacement from three years ago. I was ready to make an appointment with my surgeon but now that I’m applying everything I’ve learned in Ease of Being, I'm feeling great and already back to the gym.”

Healing Headaches, Anxiety, & Body Pain
“Ease of Being has changed me in profound ways. I have been in chronic pain since I was four years old. I was bit by a dog in the back of my head and I developed chronic debilitating headaches. Since that time I have collected a list of chronic pain symptoms that have interfered with the kind of life I want for myself. The list is miles long and includes hand pain, shoulder pain, intense itching from hemorrhoids, ball of foot pain, heart palpitations, thumb pain, swollen eyelids, ear pain, cold sores, and intense anxiety at times.
Learning about neuroplastic pain and where it comes from has been enlightening all by itself, but Michelle’s program also taught me the techniques I need to know to calm down my nervous system and brain, not to mention ways to stop adding fuel to a hyper-alert state which has always been a precursor to physical pain.
Even more important is the facilitator herself. Michelle is kind and compassionate, and I feel seen every time we work together. She has experienced a long healing journey and understands what her clients are going through. All of her programs are AMAZING but Ease of Being has eliminated so much of the chronic pain I have suffered with for years. It is truly a game-changer. I highly recommend her and Ease of Being if you struggle with chronic pain.”

Healing Pancreatitis
“I came across Michelle’s Ease of Being offering right after being diagnosed with pancreatitis. I was in a lot of pain and worried for my health. I was also under a huge amount of stress. Reading her newsletter with her new offering felt like just what I needed to start taking care of myself, it felt like divine intervention, and I jumped on the opportunity to work with her.
With her help and guidance, I learned how my mind was the key to my stress and many of my symptoms. Our weekly sessions and Voxer support helped me heal my body. Within a few weeks my symptoms started to decrease and after a couple of months my blood work showed no inflammation in my pancreas, my numbers were totally normal.
It has been six months now and I have tools to help me manage my stress and symptoms. My work with Michelle was so helpful to my well-being. I am so glad I decided to work with her and would recommend her highly to anyone wanting to heal themselves.”

Healed Health Anxiety & OCD Tendencies
“I started working with Michelle because my usual health anxiety was escalating out of control. I went from having occasional worries to a daily cataloguing of each shift in my body and hyperfixating on any feeling that seemed abnormal. I googled symptoms at red lights because I couldn’t wait five minutes to finish driving home. My life felt consumed by a fear I had no escape from.
Michelle immediately made me feel like I was completely normal. Nothing I was experiencing was rare or unusual, in fact it was very common. And most importantly, it could be healed. Cataloguing changes within ourselves can be hard to do, but it was pretty obvious that I was making huge strides rapidly. Within 2 weeks of my first session with Michelle, I stopped feeling the need to Google things at all. Coming from a place where I was researching health concerns multiple times a day, this was a huge shift.
Now, about 3 months after our initial meeting, I find myself in a significantly different emotional space. The symptoms I was experiencing are almost completely gone, only flaring up occasionally. I no longer feel afraid of strange sensations in my body, I can welcome them in and allow them to move through me with ease. I am so much more free in my body.
I still have some healing to do, but it feels like an exciting adventure to go on. I am confident in my ability to live my best life possible, and I couldn’t have done that without Michelle.”

Healing Anxiety & Processing Emotions
“One of the biggest things the program did for me was remind me how important it is to speak my truth and how important my feelings are. The somatic exercises were really helpful to support me in being more vulnerable and open with the people in my life.
I entered the program not really believing I could change my mindset, but now I fully believe the brain can be rewired and I feel very confident that I can heal myself. This confidence is spilling into other areas of my life. Not only do I believe I can change my behaviors but I also believe I deserve more in my job and my home life.
The program was so immensely helpful. I think the work you are doing is so important."

Healing Fatigue, Heart Palpitations, & Brain Fog
"I had mystery palpitations, constant fatigue and getting sick, fingers turning blue randomly, being floored after ½ hour of walking/exercising. Doctors confirmed that everything looked fine. I spent hours on Reddit and 'support' forums, using up to 12 supplements a day, started unnecessary diets, and stopped exercising and enjoying my daily dose of tea. I was a mess. Just miserable.
What I learnt was the symptoms were REAL, but my resistance to them made it sooo much worse. I learnt to stop reacting and to keep showing up in life, even if I was functioning at 10% brain capacity. Yep, it's possible to ride out a fatigue episode with grace!
After completing the program, I was shocked that my symptoms reduced dramatically. Most of all, I'm not living in doom & gloom over my symptoms, haven't been fear-scrolling on Reddit in months, and I sleep well. Oh, and I am slowly building up my exercise threshold (just went 3 days in a row, no issues).
Definitely consider Ease of Being, I can't describe how a change in perspective and knowing I have support made all the difference. It's a process! It was a terrific program. I'm baffled I'm living in this reality right now, to be honest."

Healing Migraines & Sleep Issues
"I have had years of chronic pain from different injuries that culminated in tension in my neck/traps/ears and migraines. I was on monthly medication for my migraines, but they still persisted.
Through the education and techniques Michelle provided in Ease of Being, it’s incredible to say that I have no more migraines! It truly feels miraculous.
I also tore 2 tendons in my ankle and honestly all of the work we did helped with that as well. I have stepped into a new phase with sleeping which has been incredibly healing. Sleep has been a long journey for me so I am grateful for this shift.
All of this to say an incredibly heartfelt thank you Michelle. The healing and shifts that happened during our time working together was life changing for me. The work you are doing is so powerful and has had such an impact on me."

These are common signs that your pain is neuroplastic:
- You can review the self-assessment above or schedule an assessment with me. -
As we approach the 8 week mark in Ease of Being we will assess your pain levels and whether or not you need ongoing support. Clients may continue with bi-weekly or monthly sessions or may be recommended to begin a Breathwork practice to deepen their capacity for feeling and processing the repressed emotions contributing to pain. If you feel complete after 8 weeks you’ll have the tools you need to continue self-healing.

Our sessions are a combination of education, discovery, experiential practice, and mindset work. Much of what we will be doing together is pinpointing where you need to place your attention exactly and how to apply the work to your life. It’s about what is emerging for you specifically in relationship to the work needed to reduce or eliminate symptoms. That is unique to the person and will reveal itself during the process. After every session you’ll receive homework assignments to continue to implement what you’ve learned in the session into your life.
-
There is no way for me to answer that because it depends on how you respond to the work and how you move through the expected challenges of changing your relationship to your pain. This is not quick fix work. I require an 8 session commitment because it takes time to rewire the brain and fully grasp the mindset to find success. At that point some people choose to work on their own, while others continue ongoing work with me at an interval that is best for their healing journey.
“If your mind naturally goes to despair, it's not because your situation is dire, but because you have developed strong neural pathways for despair.”
